The good news is that you don't need to invest in a clockwork man like the one in the picture. You can get your real man to clean with some subtle mind play and it isn't as difficult as you might think.
The way to get your guy, or anyone else, thinking of cleaning products and more importantly using them is to ensure that there is a vague smell of citrus in the air. The smell works on the subconscious stimulating the thoughts towards cleaning.
In a study with students in the Netherlands, it was proven that when they sat in a cubicle with a vague scent of citrus they were three times more likely to list cleaning on a list of things they planned to do that day, than students sat in a scent-free cubicle. When the same groups of students were then taken into a separate room and given a crumbly biscuit to eat, the students who had been exposed to the citrus were far more likely to clear up any crumbs which fell on the table.
So buy yourself some citrus aromatherapy oils and a bottle of wine. Put a drop or two of the citrus oil in a room where your guy hangs out, pour yourself a glass of wine then relax while he cleans!
